The Holiday Home Girls

The "almost ready" trap

You've furnished it beautifully

Your holiday home looks great in person. You've chosen quality pieces, the colours work, and guests always comment on how lovely it is when they arrive.

But the photos don't do it justice

Online, something's missing. The space looks flat. Details get lost. Rooms feel generic. Your listing blends in with dozens of others, and you're losing bookings to properties that aren't actually nicer than yours.

The camera sees differently

What works for living doesn't always work for photography. A vase placed for balance in real life might block a sightline. Beautiful cushions can read as clutter. That gorgeous art? Lost in shadow.

This isn't about redoing your space. It's about translating what's already wonderful into images that make people feel something—and reach for the booking button.

What styling for photography actually changes

It's not a redesign. It's precision work that makes every room camera-ready.

01

Depth and dimension

We layer textures, adjust heights, and create visual flow so your space looks inviting and dimensional on screen - not flat and lifeless.

02

Focal points that guide the eye

Every room needs a clear hero. We arrange furniture, styling, and accents so the camera captures what makes each space special: the ocean view, the fireplace, the architectural detail you invested in.

03

Colour and light optimisation

We adjust what's in frame to work with natural light and your photographer's angles. The result? Warm, inviting images instead of washed-out or shadowy ones.

04

Thoughtful, purposeful detail

Books placed just so. Fresh stems in a vase. A throw draped with intention. The kind of considered touches that make people imagine themselves there - without tipping into "too styled" territory.

05

A cohesive story across every room

Your listing photos should feel like chapters in the same beautiful story. We create visual consistency so browsers scroll through your gallery and think, "I NEED to stay here."

The outcome? Listings that stop the scroll. Longer browsing times. More enquiries. Higher booking rates. And often, the confidence to increase your nightly rate because your presentation finally matches your property's true value.

Spaces we've transformed

Every property has its own story. Here's how we helped these homes show theirs.

Elgin House styled interior - coastal retreat photography

Elgin House

Hobart, Tasmania

A 2 bedroom historical apartment that needed to compete in a saturated market. We refined the styling to highlight the history and architectural details, creating a sense of relaxed luxury that translated beautifully on camera.

Blairgowrie Beach House styled interior photography

Blairgowrie Beach House

Blairgowrie, Mornington Peninsula

This property had beautiful interiors but photos that felt generic. We introduced layered textures, repositioned key furniture, and added coastal accents that gave every room a distinct personality.

Country Escape

Country Escape

Country Victoria

A country retreat that needed to make an impact. We worked closely with the photographer to capture the amenities on offer and to create a space that felt both aspirational and welcoming - resulting in a fully booked calendar within weeks of going live.

Questions we hear often

What does styling for photography cost?

Investment varies based on property size, location, and scope. Most projects fall in the range of a few hundred dollars - comparable to what you'd spend on a quality furniture piece, but with a return measured in bookings. We provide a detailed quote after our initial consult so there are no surprises.

How long does the process take?

From initial consult to styled shoot day is typically 2–3 weeks, depending on scheduling. The actual styling and photography usually happens in a single day. We handle the logistics and keep things moving efficiently.

Do you travel outside the Mornington Peninsula?

Absolutely. The Peninsula is our home base, but we're happy to travel for the right project. We'll discuss travel costs transparently during the consult - it's usually a modest addition to the overall investment.

Can you recommend a photographer, or do I need to book my own?

We work with excellent photographers we trust and can connect you with someone who understands how to shoot styled interiors. If you already have a photographer you love, that's great too - we coordinate seamlessly with professionals who know their craft.

What if I want to keep some of the styled pieces?

We bring pieces from our own styling inventory for the shoot, and they return with us afterward. However, if something catches your eye, we're happy to chat about sourcing similar items for you to purchase separately.

Will my home look "too staged" or different from what guests experience?

Not at all. We style to enhance what's already there - not to create a fantasy that doesn't match reality. The goal is to present your property at its absolute best while staying true to the experience guests will have when they arrive.

I'm renovating soon. Should I wait until after, or can you help now?

If major work is happening, it's usually worth waiting until it's complete. But if you're doing minor updates or refreshes, we can work around that. Let's chat about timing during your consult - we'll give you honest advice on what makes sense.

Let's talk about your property

We start with a no-pressure consult where we walk through your space, discuss your goals, and map out exactly what styling for photography would look like for your listing. You'll leave with clarity, a detailed quote, and a plan - whether you decide to move forward or not.
